It has a significantly improved screen resolution than its predecessor (4 times faster than ESmodel) which allowed Casio to design a more intuitive menu. It also has the ability to create 4x4 matrices, which is an improvement over the previous 3x3 model in the previous model.

I love the ability to create graphic representations of integrals and differentials. This really aids me as a visually learner.

I think that it is superior to none of the scientific calculator range.

Why This Calculator:

  • Fast:Really quick processing speed.
  • A Visual CalculatorAs visually-oriented learner I am thrilled the way this calculator displays visual menus, spreadsheet functions and graphical representations of integrals, differentials, etc.
  • QR code for graphs:It's a clever idea to be able to scan the QR code of your smart phone to generate graphs with this calculator (it implies that you can make use of it to function as a graphing calculator at an extended time).   • RPN option:For the hardcore among us, you'll know HP is known for keeping Reverse Polish Notation (RPN) present in a variety of calculators. RPN is a very popular alternative to the logic of algebraic entry systems and I am awestruck that you can choose the option between RPN and algebraic when you choose this option. If your Prof wants you to utilize RPN then this is a suitable calculator.

5. Texas Instruments TI-30XS MultiView

Official calculator for the GED examinations and I'd suggest any student who is studying for the GEDs take this right away.

For the rest of us it's a great basic calculator to use for basic high-school math. If however, you're doing engineering, calculus, physics or computer science, I'd recommend stepping up to the TI-36X Pro reviewed above. I'd also say that this calculator has not enough features to get you all the way through the college years, which is why I recommend this one more for students in high school.

  • GED Certification:This is the only GED certified calculator that you can utilize for the GED exam. Therefore, you're basically locked in buying this. It's a fantastic basic calculator for middle or high school student. It'll do the basic calculations that you'll need to help you through the basic maths classes in highschool. However, when it comes down to specializing in geometric, financial, or calculus subjects this program will not be able to make it through the selection process.

The most impressive draw card in this set, but, it's the cost. I'd love to get it for my Grade 7 son as it's a great option for the moment and wouldn't cost me a dime.

This is a great option for high school general math.

Why This Calculator:

  • Incredibly cheap:It's just about the cheapest calculator you can buy. Perfect for younger students who are not going to treat it too well in the first place.
  • Nice Button Spacing:Because there aren't many buttons, they're actually nicely spaced and feels like you've got plenty space for typing.

Keep In Mind:

  • Extremely BasicThis is the type of calculator one you'll need if you're looking to save money ... but you'll be getting a very basic calculator. If you're studying math or science it's not the right choice for you.
  • Don't expect it to last:Many online reviews have said that the device broke in the shortest time. Take this into consideration while making your purchase.
